• Supervise benefits staff including hiring, work allocation, training, performance management and problem resolution
• Manage relationships with vendors and consultants
• Evaluate existing plans for their effectiveness
• Develop, recommend and implement new or modified benefit plans and policies
• Manage self-insured health plan
• Conduct or complete benchmarking market surveys
• Process all documents necessary for implementation of various benefit programs
• Work on RFPs including analyzing and recommending new vendors
• Maintain records required for legal compliance including HIPAA
• Ensure regulatory compliance of all benefit plan documents and programs
Requirements:
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Five years of previous experience working with health plans
• An understanding of benefit policies and procedures
• Staff supervisory experience
• Experience with negotiating and managing contractual benefit arrangements
• Computer skills including Excel, Word, PowerPoint and HRIS system

To develop the ministry to the whole family at Parkside Chapel with special emphasis on children from age 0 through 6th grade.
QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE POSITION
• A mature Christian modeling I Timothy 3:1-7 (Elder qualities) and Galatians 5:22,23,
(Fruit of the Spirit) character.
• A passion for and an ability to relate well to children.
• An ability to relate and communicate well with the parents of the children.
• The ability to recruit and lead an adult volunteer staff.
• Gifted in teaching God's Word and administrating Children and Family Ministries.
• Education: Master’s Degree in a related field of study and a minimum of 5 years experience in Children’s Ministry is preferred but not required.
• Agreement with Christian & Missionary Alliance doctrine and mission.
ACCOUNTABLE TO THE SENIOR PASTOR UNDER THE OVERSIGHT OF THE BOARD OF ELDERS
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Oversee & develop the Sunday morning ministry to nursery – 6th children for worship services (Children’s churches) and the Disciplemaking Hour (Sunday School). This includes the recruiting selection and training of staff as well as the selection of Biblical teaching material including training the staff in the effective use of those materials.
• Oversee and develop the Wednesday evening AWANA ministry.
• Implement and maintain safe place procedures.
• Oversee and develop 4th-6th grade children's camps and retreats.
• Assist in coordinating areas of ministry with the larger life of the church body.
• Develop and oversee a ministry to parents that includes training, counseling and the promotion of family oriented activities.
• Inspire children and their families to spiritual growth inside and outside the classroom.
SECONDARY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Oversee and provide childcare for church wide events on an “as needed” basis.
• Oversee and develop seasonal events and outreaches, i.e. Children’s Christmas Program, Vacation Bible School, Children’s Choir, Harvest Festival, Mom’s Day Out, etc.

The Executive Pastor is a support position, with emphasis on building and supporting ministry groups under the Senior Pastor's direction. He communicates accurately the vision and values of the Senior Pastor and Governing Board & Elders.
The focus will be on:
- Oversight of Disciplemaking Ministries (30%): providing guidance for lay leaders and help in locating curriculum materials which promote Kingdom building and the core values of the church.
-Emerging Young Adult Ministries (30%): develop, initiate, and lead a new ministry to focus on 18-30 year olds.
- Small Group Development (20%): building and nurturing Small Groups because God's Family grows best in community.
- General Support of Church Operations (20%): serving as a fully-functioning member of the pastoral staff, aiding in management and providing back-up as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Meets the scriptural requirements of a church leader/elder as set forth in I Timothy 3:1-13 and Titus 1:6-9.
- Spends time in prayer and study of God's Word on a daily basis.
- Demonstrates the fruit of the Spirit in life and ministry, with clear confirmation of spiritual, emotional, and relational health as confirmed through work experiences and references.
- Maintains confidentiality.
- Recognizes that this is a support position requiring close coordination with the Senior Pastor, although there will be considerable autonomy in fulfilling the specifics of the job description.
- Born-again Christian with a solid commitment to the Lordship of Christ in his life.
- Bachelors (or Masters) Degree from an acredited college/university with a concentration in a field of Christian Ministry.
- Licensed or willing to be licensed by the WPA District of The C&MA
- Ordained or working towards ordination.
- A sincere desire to be actively involved in ministering to people.
- Good rapport with congregation and healthy relationships with people.
- Must have a heart for lost people and a vision for reaching them.
AMENABILITY:
All Staff Pastors are amenable to the Senior Pastor and Governing Board.
